Editing Money in MP

How do u edit a players money if u are the server maker in FLServer?

Easiest way if you dont know what your doing is to download and use Chips server admin mod from this site.

If you do know what you are doing, then open the MPNEWPLAYER.FL file in the EXE folder in the Freelancer directory. Decompress it. Then edit the second line:
Old Line: Money = %%%
New Line: Money = 5000
The above will give your players 5000 credits.
Then save this as the original FL file.

Any players that come on to your server now will have the money you specified above.

NNOoooooooooo - its data\characters and edit the newcharacter.ini file instead. Download and install the SDK to be able to open it without having to decompress it.
