well, since you are a little late, players on the servers have built their accounts over the past years. To play, try to have a fast internet connection because if you don't it is going to lag a lot. So, like I was saying, no mods are allowed on servers. Some servers give you a bunch of money to start with and allow new players to have a safe experience until they get out of new york. Some severs are like starting a Single player game without the story line(only 2k credits). If you wanna do PVP(player v.s player), your thruster will be a great help since fighting with another player is no like fighting with the NPC. your thruster will help you get away from the other player, turn around away from him and then go head on. Its gonna be difficult. Shield busters and missiles will be a need.
