World wide tournament
Hey every one, this is SHAFT here, for a while now I’ve been thinking about how there is no real tournaments happening on freelancer and no one can really test them self’s at a high level. So after a little bit of thinking and talking with some friends I’ve decided to make up my own tournament and im gonna try and make it as well known as possible. It’s gonna take a lot of organising and a while to set up.
It will most likely take the best part of a day to have everyone get their ships set up on the Alpha centauri 2 server , Don’t worry about money because everyone will be giving lots of cash and there will be referees to over see the fights and things in general , so no one will run outa money .
The tournament itself goes a little like this:
There will be 3 divisions.
Division 1. All gun fighters
Division 2. Combination fighter gun/missile
Division 3. All missile fighters
Each division will be split into groups, depending on how many people actually turn up. Once everyone has signed up and has their ships ready, everyone will meet up at OMICRON GAMMA, the home place of duelling. So once everyone has assembled at gamma they will then be put into their divisions and groups. Each group will then do a Person V Person, so 2 people at a time, THIS IS NOT A FREE FOR ALL. After this the winner of each group will then go against each other , and if necessary the winners of the first round might have to be put into groups again depending on numbers .
Once a sure winner has be decided for each division they will then be announced the best player in freelancer at that certain type of weapons selection . Then for the grand final each division winner will have the option to fight each other and the winner from that will be called the best player over all in freelancer.
Extra notes:
Each division will have 1 or more referees.
The server will be ALPHA CENTAURI 2 although I am still looking for any back up server just as a precaution.
No date has been set yet but it will be within the next couple of months .
