Why do you think you need a patch to fix your issue? People make multiple characters to store those guns. Try it, you'll like it.

a patch for not loosing them??? that would be idiot, i like it that you loose the cargo and unmounted weaps...

ps. you can land on the money planet and mount you nomad guns in that place, so you can't loose them after that

Here's some info Wolfie. It's all about having two on-line characters on the same server. Some people have meanful character nicks like "Storage_insertregularnamehere" or "loot_insertregularnamerhere" or "guns_insertregularnamehere"

Then get what you want to save (guns,missiles/etc.) in the good strong character and trade with your other "storage" character for future use. This involves another trusted player to be the go between most of the time. I'm actually a bit surprised that others haven't already chimed in since this is old news.
