Server Issue

Hello,
I decided to run a server off of my home machine for some friends to play on in a "sand box" environment. My cable providor suddenly changed my IP address, at which point everyone on the server was kicked and I had to reset my cable modem. When I came back up, the server was still running, but no one could log back onto my server.
The server is named PatrickzRealm.net and it's running the mod Evolution v1.26 (not .1.27). My friends can see it on the list of available servers, however I do not have the server even running. Not to mention, it says it's from my old IP, and now it has changed.
I have tried to re-host games, but they do not show up either.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated - I just wanna play!

Thanks,
Deltran

Quoting right from the FL CD.

Manually Connecting to Freelancer Servers
Freelancer.exe supports a command line parameter for manually adding servers to the list of potential servers. This advanced feature requires that you know the hostname or IP address of the server computer as well as the network port on which FLServer is running. It is useful for playing on servers that are not on your LAN and are not advertised on the global server.

To add a server to the server list, use the following syntax:
FREELANCER.EXE -s<hostname>:<port>
where hostname is the name or IP address of the server computer and port is the network port number on which the server is running. You may add multiple servers by repeating the same syntax. See the ReadmeServer.htm file in the Extras directory on the Freelancer CD for information on manually setting the network port on the server.

Servers added in this way will not appear in the list of available servers until the respond to a ping request from your computer.

Examples:
FREELANCER.EXE -sCoolServer.myisp.com:2302

This will add the computer CoolServer.myisp.com to the list of potential servers; it will be pinged on port 2302.

FREELANCER.EXE -sA_Sever.myisp.com:2302 -sAnother_Server.yourisp.com:2304

This will add the computers A_Server.myisp.com and Another_Server.yourisp.com to the list of potential servers. A_Server.myisp.com will be pinged on port 2302 and Another_Server.yourisp.com will be pinged on port 2304.

And a bit more...

How to Control the Port Number that the Freelancer Server Uses
The Freelancer server normally picks its own port (in the range of 2302–2400) when hosting a game. This works well in most cases. However, there are situations where you may want to control the port choice for the server. These situations are usually caused by running more than one DirectPlay game on your network at a time.

You can control the port selection with the /P command line option to the FLServer.exe program. For example, if you wanted to have the server host on port 1234, you would use the following command line FLServer.exe /P1234. You can easily modify the provided shortcut to FLServer.exe to include this option. Simply edit the Target line and add your own /Pxxx after the FLServer.exe text.

In a nutshell, the reason why your server isn't showing is it has not pinged with the new IP yet. In the meantime, you can set iy up as described above and everyone can manually jion your sever in "a sandbox."
