various clans have different rules/aims
some are a lot more organised and some are little more than a couple of guys with a tag
some will want you not to be in another clan others dont mind
basically you need to check each one as they are all different

I do not thin that new players should chose clans this way.

man simply join the few servers (pings are good 2 you) check things there u find ppl u like, then stay there, after that if u wish, join a clan in the server that fit to your idea about the galaxy clan of freelancers Pirates Hunters Navy traders ...

by the way u can join different clans since if you keep your double identity in secret its not a problem, unless its the admins clan and your other character is killing there clan

it better you play first with friends then try clans.
