Lag

I have a phoneline connection and really like this game, however i have pretty bad lag (as you can imagine) and i loose my connection to the server from time to time, i was just wondering if anyone had ANY advice as to how i could reduce my lag, my connection usually runs at about 32k

ps: getting a better connection is good advice but i cant do that right now (not for a long while yet)

the only advice i can give u is to try to find a server with the lowest ping time. This is your only chance of not getting as much lag.

dont take missions where they send help and try to avoid areas with other players as these both increase the amount of data being transfered and can push it over the edge

actually, 56k should work fine..i know coz i have a cap limit on my dsl, and i monitor the usage....

best advice, is find servers with ping under 350

u could also try a net booster, i think i used 1 called system mechanic when i was on dial up, it was a long time ago, but it seemed ok. it also had some other useful functions, like d`spy etc.
