@kabeth you should try to get the most out of the SP game (ie. highest level, best ship possible, covered all systems, found all holes and bases) before you switch to MP - you will find MP a lot more interesting in the long run and will get a lot more respect on the servers that you play on.

Welcome to the boards by the way!

#1: Do NOT play MP until you have finished the storyine.

#2. Start off 1st time with the lowest Ping (lag) non-PvP server. (no skull thingy)
Just a short stay, get the feel of it, then find a low Ping PvP server.

#3. DON'T run any unapproved mods or cheat.

#4. Record your ID number (in startup menu).

#5. Do NOT join servers with mods until you know what you are doing.
(Going on an unmodded server later will get you BANNED! unless mod is removed.)

u wana join a great clan
join the Order on #1 HellCat Server or Bobway server wonder ful clan i no the guy who runs it talk to me [email protected] i love fish

joining now a clan is maybe a little foolish... i play a lot on mp-servers, and i joined still 1 clan... i like to fly on my own... nobody to look at, wometimes fly in groupes with other freelancers and sometimes joining a clan for a few minits... i'm now a clanmember off a raider-group, and i fly mostly alone, i like that the best.... sometimes help others out...
play first sp and finish the storyline, then start on a server (some suggested already to start by a non-pvp server, but i would say, try inmediat a pvp server so u know how good u r...)
look for a fighter what u like, i fly now mostly in a dagger, but i know how to take down the heaviest fighters fast that way... u learn how to use agility to get as less hitted by enemy fire... do extreme missions, like diong 240k missions in a defender... do pvp in a lower fighter then ur opponent is, eagle vs. drake...

u will learn that way, try to beat a extreme agile fighter with a titan... try to use missiles and mines (i'm not good in mines, but my missiles r without lag and against a drake about 80% hit, against hammerheads (hunters vhf) my hitpecentage is almost 100%, but still... mines... i use them sometimes only in groups off enemies, but then is my hitpercentage with mines very low... i know how to use them against stationairy objects only)

u will know what fighter is the best for u when u try to beat eagles and drakes in pvp, eagle for the shielded and drakes for their agility...
