wrecks do regen but only really on reeboot of server

What if I shoot a wreck, it's already been looted but the health bar is full, can I go back and hit it again and get the loot after reboot or does the game register that I've already hit that wreck even though I don't get the loot.

Good question! I've looted many wrecks and every once in while it DOES
do that *klunk-debris* thing that signifies you've already looted it when I know
for a FACT (me keeps records) that I've NOT gotten any loot from it!
Perhaps I should also keep a record if I've shot the thing Vs. just seen it's bar down.

there is a file that tracts player after loot some times up to 15 days befor it will put stuff back in for u to loot if new charater n server is rebooted loot there but not for charater that looted it
try n reboot server make new charater n see iam right some where a file tracks charater when it loots wreaks trying to track it to reset for all player not new ones right off the bat try it n see

Yea on MP servers once a wreck has been looted by any player it needs to wait for a server restart to re-fill. As long as another player has salvaged the wreck you need to wait for a server restart no matter if you did it or not.

All this infomation is stored on the server machine.

I went to the place with the most protos (not in spoiler forum) shot up the first one and nothing dropped, the next night I tried another one and eventually they all dropped apart from the one the previous night. Health bar was full so I'm guessing that it already thought I'd hit that one?
