new to multiplayer questions

i am as you could say a sp_ace (single player ace) but i am a noob to multiplayer whats all this about clans where can i join a clan? can i start a clan? what is a clan? thnx in advance

ahem also whats the deal with the rank thing in the corner???

The more you post the higher you rank on the left, most of the commodors and majors etc have been here a long time posting. Admirals run the boards. The idea is the more useful or topical posts you make the better your rank ... but it does get abused by the odd rank chaser (there's one very high ranked person who's been posting for about 3 or 4 weeks).
The clans are just a bunch of people that fly together/hunt/trade, you'll see ads for new clans or I guess just fall into one, or stay solo. I'm new to MP too but this is what I've gathered so far.

The Titan does fly like a cow ... but the Eagle, a finer ship never was made (outside of mods)...........

If you throw enough mud ..some's gonna stick.

Angelofdarkness, i suggest you find yourself good server first. This is the only way to learn about MP. You may ask: what is a good server? well here is how i find mys. Open server list, wait till fully loaded and arrange by ping. now every server that have 30+ slots is good, but we also want to play with others so if this server is full or nearly full then this server is just for you

Another term is PvP(player vs player) or PK(player kill). Whenever you ready for some action, logon to servers that allow pvp. You may even be tolled by some of the bad guys but be ready to stand up for your self.
