or else theyd restrain from using the word "war" so damn much.

Yes, we have heard your rant about how real "war" involves years of conflict and death and famine and whatnot, but I'm sure you know that when we say clan "war" we mean a series of battles or a battle in a game. It just like saying I "killed" someone in that game. You arent using the term killed as if you were saying to the police I killed so and so physically are you?
