Yup - the TE is the Elite - organisation that tries (notice the tries) to stop pking - especially when you launch from manhatten in one ofthose delightful little starfliers!

Thanks for your replies. I'm interested, seeing as how I've been PK'd before and I can't stand it when some **** off thinks it's funny to kill me over and over again. Haven't had that displeasure on Freelancer (yet), but I've played Neocron and Dark Age of Camelot and I couldn't stand getting killed on there. I would be more than happy to join up, but unfortunately my schedule wouldn't always allow for me to be online for patrols and whatnot. Not sure how far I can bend the rules on meeting the schedule, but I'm pretty sure that real life takes priority (at least I hope it does...LOL). Chips, if there is someone better suited to helping me get started please let me know how I can get ahold of them...thanks in advance...

Your best change of meeting TE's is to come to the ALPHA CENTAURY 2 server. Have a chat with LTC-WIlka or MAJ-2Stoned or COL-Soultaker if they are on. You can also chat with a TE with a lower rank but the high ranks can tell you a bit more of the "rules" of The Elite. Thats entirely up to you though.

Or you can email the Marshall via the email link on the TE website and ask him what you need to know.

My suggestion to you is that you should complete the Single Player campaign before starting Multiplayer. I've come across alot of people that started MP and barely knew how to get to the various systems. It's weird to have a lvl50 player in an Eagle asking people how to jettison cargo.


But the most important thing being on someone elses server is that you obey the server rules. If it says "NO PK IN NEW YORK" then that's what it means, don't shoot anyone in New York. Also, most servers frown upon player that use mods (cloak, cruise, weapon mod) Yuu'll most likely get banned from that server.
Should you ever join The Elite know this; Do not EVER use a mod while you're in uniform. Never. That'll get you into huge problems and quite possibly you get kicked from The Elite. (In Uniform mean that you are playing with your TE-rankgoeshere-Yourname character)

Yeah, thats right, the best thing to do is email the Marshall if you want to join. You can take on as much or as little responsibility as you want to. Its totally up to you.

LMAO Entropy, I have seen them asking questions about how to get their ship to move.

They might not have a reason they want to be attacked but we sure do have reasons for attacking them
