hmm i feel the need to clarify WP and NoTec.

NoTec is a NEO like PK clan from the AC2 server. I came there inviting them to Elite, because i believed (and i was right) NoTec had the same ideas on freelancer as we did.


for WP, their members are starting to see why NEO does what it does. they find it fun tolling/killing people, enjoying PVP.

I think it's time to show you guys what's going on in WP...

First of all: we are NOT gonna join NEO, neither will they join us. we DON'T have some kind of alliance. All we have is a Cease-Fire. Nothing more, nothing less.

With the WP-LD-NEO-NoTec war over, we currently haven't very much to do exept for doing missions, trade and duelling each other over and over and over again... This tend to get a little boring over time.

Therefore, some members wanted to start a raider wing, to bring back a little fun in the game. ONLY the raider wing will toll, all other WP don't have anything to do with tolling. There are only a few WP who are in that wing, I for a fact am not, and they are bound to very strict rules:

* EVERY member of the wing has the tag [WP-R (with the R from Raider), so that everyone can clearly recognice them and get out or hide if they want.
* We ONLY toll people with a level of 35 or higher. This means we DON'T toll newbs. At lvl 35, you can have a fully decked-out eagle and still have around 1M money, so a toll of about 200-300K won't make you broke at all. Futhermore, someone at level 35 is expected to be able to stand up for himself, on Elite atleast.

this has several effects. First: it brings more fun and exitement to the game, both for us, as those high-levels who have nothing else to do than doing missions or keep running hte same trade-route over and over again. Second: The newbs are still as safe as ever, and will still be helped by other WP (atleast by me if I have the time) when they ask for it. Third: the Border worlds will finally become what they are intended to be: a MORE DANGEROUS place for those with MORE money, instead of the opposite, what it always has been without tolling.
with 1-2 missions you will have earned even more money than you lost in the toll, and any decent pilot can do 2 "kill that guy" or "destroy that cargo" mission in like 4-5 minutes.

tolling is all fine and dandy and yes indeed adds a lot of flavour to the game , there are just a few things that I do have issues with

1. blowing up a freighter , not tolling not demanding anything , just blowing up the player , that is low and undeserved (and a practice done by a certain group that will remain unnamed)

2. If tolling make it a fair fight , 3 or 5 against 1 is hardly worth the fight since there is no way anybody can win

3. If the player wins the fight let him in peace , he earned it

4. dock and spawn killing , again low and undeserved , give a player a chance to come out and defend himself (this also goes for jumpgates and jumpholes)

5. spoiling a players mission (yeah very funny and all that)

6. if a player does not have enough cash to pay , give him time to earn it , don't demand his weapons thus rendering it impossible for him to earn cash

7. lvl 35 does not automatically mean the player has a millon in cash (if he is loaded up with ripper mines , sunslayer torps and a cargohold full of high priced goods he will show as a higher level then he has cash for)

Really...then how come I was tolled (unsuccessfully) by Stealth with his Ice_Wolf char?

Concerning your points, who are quite good btw:

--We will never just "blow someone up", unless they are in a war with us.

--Like I said, our raider wing is quite small atm, and we rarely need to call in help from a second or third raider

--Hmmm... this isn't a rule yet... will have to discuss that one with my clanmates lol

--We always wait until they have their shield up and control over their ship again, we like fair fights too.

--We will try to evade that stuff... sadly it isn't always clear if someone is on a mission or not, so it could happen by accident...

--we won't demand weapons or ask someone to sell them for cash. If it happen that they are at lvl 35 or higher and they still manage to somehow don't have the cash they will be given time to earn it.

--See my answer above. Altough I would like to note that, in the rare case this will occur, the cargo will be visible when we scan the target, thereby notifying our raiders about this situation.

Do you see a [WP or [WP-R tag in front of his name? No? Ok, case solved

Stealth might be in WP, but Ice_Wolf isn't, and we are not, and can not be responsible for what someone does with a char that isn't in our clan...

for example: you are in the EFA clan right? well... if one of your members would create another char without any clan-tag at all, and begins to toll guys, would you be responsible? No, for as long as his char in the clan behaves according to the clan-rules there shouldn't be a problem right?

You happen to know his other char, but what if you didn't happen to know that? would we be responsible for someone's actions who isn't in our clan?

you were doing (good sensible answers) well, until you got to machine's questions, from there i would call that a "cop out" surely creating a character without the required [WP_R is disobedient in itself, as he intends to toll. And does.
So if you cant or wont reprimand those in your clan for disobeying orders your whole raider wing is a joke, you might as well say, do what you like just dont use [WP tag.
just my 2 cents but hey.

corwin... we do what we do becouse we want too. If we want to blow up ppl for no reason.. we will do so.

It happens in real life too you know.

to the original post,well since notec no skill were just a bunch of losers and cheaters from ac2 it only makes sence that they would alli with the likes of neo,gee if only neo could see the screenshots of what notec kuruption was saying about them on ac2 im sure they would reconsider there buddiness with them.
