New to multiplayer...

I haven't played FL multiplayer yet, I wanted to have a major blast at the SP first. Also, its not helped that I'm currently on ISDN, ADSL won't be in my area until october.

Anyway, can someone please tell me what PK means? I've read the stickies and done a couple of searches and I can't find the definition anywhere. Lots of "No PKing in New York" etc but no explanation for newbies.

Secondly, does the "elite" server have anything to do with the game "elite"? or is it simply called that because everyone rates it as being the best?

And finally, can anyone recommend a good starting server for someone trying to get into MP on ISDN in the UK?

Cheers!

'PK' is a term used in pretty much every online-playable game, it means Player Killer, or in the case of "No PKing in New York", Player Killing.

PK means Player Killing, many servers have a no PKing in Liberty rule, this is to give you a chance to build your skills and ship up to snuff. Elite has nothing to do with game Elite, it's one of the best servers out there but beware, there be rogues and pirates in the outer regions, arrr.

I hear something...........Coolant Leak!!........

lol. thanks for the info...this is the first game I've got into in years so i've got a lot of catching up to do.

shame about the elite server not being related to elite the game, I'll probably give it a go anyway though, are there any servers out there with cobra mkIII's floating around?

a word of warning check server rules before playing!!!!!!!!!!!
as some servers will ban you if you make a big level jump ie, if someone gives you a lot of starter cash (usually 100k is ok)
stay safe out there

ok...thanks for the heads up...but that now leaves me with 2 questions

1. How do you check the rules on a server?
2. You can give people money? How?

hmmm...I suppose that was three questions.

the server rules will normally appear on the log on screen or at least a link to them
transfering cash or weps even goods well ,select the player (who has to be near you and send trade request its not too tricky
