attention members of the elite server

i am a member of a new anti-pker clan known as the Nomads, and i recently visited the elite server, its a mess there, u hav nuthin but people with pulse weapons (interesting tactic, but i dont see how that is gonna werk, considering pkers use cloaking devices) we here of the Nomads feel victims pain, and we intend to move into the elite server and rid it of the pking scum, u can learn more about us in the discussion forum we mean no harm, we are here to help and we will not rest til the elite is a server worth visiting for newbies again...

Knowledge is security... anything else, well... good luck

Sorry guy, PK'ers in Elite generally don't use any mods at all.
Does your little group have a tag?

Not sure what you are talking about Render.

Everyone on elite has pulse weapons? Of course! Anyone engaging in PvP needs a shield-stripper or two...

..what's your point? Cloaked cheaters are to be ignored. They are losers and hunting them gives them exactly what they want.... attention their mommy never gave them.

The few modders that make their way onto elite are hunted and banned. Elite is one of the best servers there is at keeping the cheating scum out. If you intend to bring modded weapons on to 'fight Pkers', or any mods for that matter, your lifetime there will be short.

Also Elite already has the Server Deputies that do their best to enforce the rules... including no PK in liberty.

PK elsewhere is well within the rules, and your presence will just mean more targets

I think he's refering to the Server Deputies, who have Pulse guns to drop Trade Lanes.
Deputy guns are not used against players, NO PvP in Liberty!
AFAIK he's also talking about Liberty PKers , not about where it's legal.

Oh ok. Anti-PK in liberty? By all means! But if you're going to take the anti-PK thing with you outside liberty, be prepared to take some heat

i have always wondered how anti pk clans deal with pkers
by pking them? is it just me or is that ironic
to quote a song by a 80s band Marillion
"what do you call assassins who accuse assassins anyway..... my friend"
sarcasm aside go get em !!!!!!!!!! but dont mod!!!!!!!!!!

heh, what a moron. Elite is not a server for newbies. Hence the name. Get out.

"Elite is not a server for newbies."

amen mate. if you are new to the game i dont suggest elite, only try it out when you have some experience. new players and newbs are not the same thing - a "newb" is someone not well adapted to the game, whereas a "new player" is anyone starting a new character.

and good players flying new characters have little trouble avoiding the pking in omicron theta by staying away from the border worlds until they are ready . i rarely see any pking in liberty, thx to the deputies.

In my opinion, if Render had his way, every ship in Freelancer would be equipped with harmless tazer prods instead of guns...

I really don't agree with killing PKers. Let's say you kill those who PK (forgetting for now that you're breaking the rules yourself), they just respawn and start killing again. So, unless you start dock camping (which is VERY wrong), you can't really stop them...only provoke them, which leads to more PKing.

Though I do have a suggestion. If a player (who can be killed without using MODs...otherwise there's no point) is caught PKing, there's something that server deputies could do. Basically, they periodically broadcast the character name over the system chat. So a deputy declares someone as a rule breaker and everyone is authorised to attack them, until they eventually leave.

Though I can already see a problem with this. There is nothing to stop a corupt server deputy (most likely someone disguised as one) to declare legit players as targets. Well, it was just a thought.

Don't forget also that there may be many people who are online at that time. But not all of them are going to travel halfway across the sector just to kill some guy so that he can respawn.

They will be wasting their time.

Pking is also limited to outside Liberty.(Well for those who don't break the rules.) New characters spawn in Liberty which therefore makes them safe from harm until they can get their level up to a degree that they feel comfortable with.

Elite is a PKing server. When you connect to the global server it says Elite allows PKing. So trying to rid it of PKing defies the admin's prerogative to allow PKing from the start.

Also the very idea (as expressed before) of Pking Pkers is just hypocrisy.

So in short, its not a good idea its unethical and it is not needed.

How does one get in contact with an official rep of the NEO clan? I have a proposition for them that might be interesting.
