For informational purposes only.....

Elite MP Server could be going down for a short time this week starting tonight sometime 8/27/03. Unknown how long it will be down, but maximum is it will be back before the weekend. It might only be down for the night. There's some configuration issues that need to be resolved. No idea if this was affecting gameplay, but likely it was not at all.

Just doing our bit to keep it real. We now return you to your normally scheduled broadcast.

I would like to know what the stance is that Elite takes when PK players start sending e-mails to the private addresses of other players on the server - death-threats and the like, that don't specify in-game only, either.

If you're being shot while attempting to dock, do the docking maneuver, then press (and hold) "v" to look behind you. If he fires at you, you'll see it and can hopefully hit the PrntScrn button to get the screenshot.

I've been on Elite a few times since account creation has been turned on.
I've lost contact with the server twice, either from really bad lag or the thing crashing. I was wondering which end the error is on, has anyone else experienced that?

I've experienced both.

Either we both have bad connections or the server is messing up.
