Storage Character Question

I have a MP storage character. I evidently stored too many items on him, causing my files to be come corrupted. The server admin was gracious enought to reset my accounts. The first thing I did once I got online after the reset was set up a second storage character. I put half my goods into this second character.

Now, when I attempt to connect to the server, the following sequence happens:

Select Server, "Loading", attempt to pull character selection menu, "Your connection to the server has been lost..." - then I can't even select the server again.

I know that the server is up, I see a ping rate (80-110) and people online using it. My question is - Are we limited to a set number of items PER CHARACTER or per person?

Any help would be gratifying. I will also be posting this in the Server and Multiplayer forums as I think it is applicable in all 3.

Storage Character Bug!!!
Note that one of the possible causes is large deposits. Not just the amount that you have put in one storage character. It is possible that if you put smaller deposits in your character at one time, then you could have 500 items. Maybe there is no limit, just a limit on the deposit size. Every time I had this problem, it was during very large deposits.
Another person had the bug at 80 items or so, but I know that 165 items works, so maybe it is just the deposit size and not the balance. Please put your experience under the Storage Character topic so we can accumulate more ideas in one place. We may be able to narrow it down if more people participate in that thread.

i read a post about a similar occurence ,maybe here
the post was about storing 250+ items nad the problems it created
since then i made a mental note not to go over about 180 items which for most purposes is fine for me
basically i dont store useless items now and that keeps the inventory down

Please put that in the The Storage Character Bug!!! thread, so we can keep a consolidated list of experiences. I think the balance limit may be 256 items per character, in addition to an unknown deposit limit.
