how do i get on to some1s server?

I kinda want to play multiplayer but can't find a server.
help plz?

When you press "multiplayer" and then "internet", you supposed to get list of all freelancer servers. Few servers locked, other password protected, however the majority of servers are open.

If you dont get the list check:
(if you have) your firewall settings,
Directx-Dirctplay drivers, with: run->"dxdiag.exe".

For futher troubleshoting Search the forum for similar problem(s).

Yeah I get the list- i click on a server and it just says
"This action is taking longer than usual. Please wait"
Then never does anyfing

find 1 with a lower ping time, lower the ping the better

tried agen and its says "the username and password u provided is not available on this sever"
please someone help

1) try couple of servers
2) disable any kazaa/edonkey or any uploading software.
3) Reboot
4) reinstall the game
5) what modem you have?

That happened to me until I installed DirectX9, seems SP game works fine with 8.

No this maybe occurred when your DirectPlay(part of DirectX) drivers ruined.
There is DX9.0a be sure to install it.
