1. If you want a server were people cant mod get the Anti-modding crap for the server. the patch and so on and so forth.

2. 99% of modded servers you need a specific mod for it. If you dont you get kicked out of it. And to be honest some of those mods i really dont want to play.

3. You dont like all the modding on your server, leave. Nearly all servers have a modder of some kind. Theres no escape. If you dont like it **** off.

4. Please respect others opinions. I do, i used to be against mods so much so that i would declare Jihad. But then i started modding to see what allt he fuss is about and i like it. I respect and understand why you guys dont like modding. But seriously if you want any respect, respect others. Even if they mod. So what if we suck at mp? we just want to play our own way. Its our game too. We cant mod good on SP because mods like Cloak and stuff dont have the same effect, the comp can see us. I used cloak mod so i can map in detail sirius. So i can trade cardamine without being shot at. So i can mine without being blown up. So i can fly around without getting pked by someone with an uber gun.

Even "good" modders risk lagging and destabilising the server. They're the ones who need to learn respect others. Only play on servers where mods are allowed, how hard is that? People who declare their servers (which they own and run with their money and bandwith) free of modders needed to be respected, not the other way around. Those unsanctioned modders are the ones who need to **** off.

it may be your game, but as pointed out you are not paying for the server or the bandwidth that you are raping. It is the server owners that are being disrespected. Your perception of disrespect is an illusion created by yourselves to justify your pathetic existence.

We are not talking about modding in general.. it is a skill and to be respected... we are talking about CHEATING... modding on servers where you were kindly asked to play fair like the rest of us... Please explain why we need to respect or tolerate this?

Actually that's quite a weak defense. Cheaters who just do their own thing and never bother others? Doesn't exist of course. Now why is that?

This is multiplayer. If a person just wanted to mod, he'd do it on his own server. When people want to cheat vs other players, they do it in multiplayer.

The following actions of a cheater ruin the experience for other players:
1: Killing others with uber weapons (obviously)
2: Being unkillable by others (Why? Because you are ruining their PK/pirating experience! Pirating comes with risks, yes, but there should be a possibility of killing the other player, otherwise you might as well turn PvP off)
3: Cheating to get money (Why? Because you flood the game economy, forcing other players to pay more for items traded/purchased)
4: using a mod that lags other players and servers.
5: ANYTHING that makes the game easier for you personally (why? Because it cheapens the accomplishments of the other players)

If you can find some cheats that don't fit into those 5, I might be inclined to believe the crap about keeping to yourself. But since I highly doubt any cheat exists outside of those 5 criteria, these statements about harmless cheating are largely self-justification and posturing.

Guess what, tonight on AC2 Someones been crashing the server repeatafly, 7 times at least, prolly more. It's really getting out of control, when will the Server admin show his face again?

We mod on other servers because some mods dont work properly with our own.

Let me explain it like this. When modders mod, they mod the whole game, to where they change some .ini files of the game. Take cloak mod for example. Works fine with different servers because they are using a different game file. So we can piss off any system without being seen. But if we go to our own server and try to piss off any system, we can get shot at, thus rendering Cloaking useless. Same with countless other mods like Super Justice mods, and uber-shield mods, so on and so forth. I don't do anything to anyone on AC2 that hurts them perminately. I shoot NPCs and Assholes. Sometimes when i shoot npc's my targeting comp locks on to a playing hostile with me, sometimes i dont read it fast enough and they die. Thats accident. When i kill assholes they are usually hypocrites like Dickwadcheater. Who says all cheaters should stop or he'll crash the server. Yet he uses countless mods as well.

Look, modders should be respected IF they respect others. I only mod heavily on AC2 because its one of the only non-1.1, non-big mod server, that i can use little mods to check out. It's not like a rebalance server or a TNG server. Just a regular server. My mods may slow down the server a little bit, but not enough to cause anything but a ping or two higher. My mods such as cloak,uber,orisis III,armored transport,nomad battleshi/fighter,speed,best-path,planet type, mining operations, etc.... have not slowed down the server to the point that it would crash. When i say my mods i mean the ones that i use.

I don't care if you dont want to accept me, i respect non-modded players, i think modders who respect non-modders should be respected as well.

BTW if you go on calgary you know i only have 3 mods on. Fast thruster,fast cruise, best path mod. Those dont slow down the server.

Quick fix for you "666": copy the game, one dir for the server and one for the play.
I assume it should be fine though i didnt tried it my self.

Anyhow there is no excuse for cheating! modding is differnt story.
cheating is when you doing something you not supposed to do, illegal. if the server ask not to mod(as AC2) then modders there called CHEATERs.

Heretic is a rEtArD. The very act of modding on an un-modded server shows disrespect towards the admin and all honest players there. You don't have to shoot anyone, or do anything - YOU ALREADY SUCK!! Don't you get it?

Also my opinion of the Admin on AC2 has sunk lower and lower as he obviously takes no trouble to maintain his server. Perhaps he has a good reason, but I have found a couple of servers where cheaters get gang-raped, booted, and banned for life -and I will just play there instead.
