Hacking on ELite is WAY out of control!!!

In the past 3 days, each day has had a cloak hacker on (not to mention his group of followers). Regardless of the new WP/NEO alliance tha'ts forged whenever a hacker is online, hacking should not be allowed to persist. I woudln't really care if it were possible, even in the smallest degree to kill these guys. But when they are 3k away and kill me in 2 shots, that's a little rediculous. Is there anything that REALLY can be done too these guys?? Say a ip ban or something? And if they have a dynamic ip, ban a range (not a very large one obviously). These haxors are seriously damaging the stability of elite, not to mention the fun factor of the game.

Its not just hackers

Theres cheats scams and people not obeying the simple rules.

Even Stinger is getting ****ed off to Hell over it.

And Stinger is the Admin of that said server? If so, why doesn't he just ban those people? It's really that simple. Select accounts, select his name and BAN Why is that so hard to do? Is that because his server won't be 'popular' anymore? I think the exact opesite with happen. If people see an admin taking action against these people THEN the server will be very popular.

They can't just ban the char name.. they have to ban the FL id if they want to get rid of that person.. andthat will only work for right now since account creation is disabled on elite currently. the best way to get rid of these guys would be an ip ban..

seriously, right now (and for the past few hrs) there has been some russian guys online (major, hash_gangsta, and some guy with a name full of russian chars) who've been cheating like mad.. the guy with full russian chars as his name, not only cloak hax, but has hacked his weps so they have extreem range (3-4k range)and power. aswell has speed hack.. what is this game coming too?? CS quality of hack prevention?? cause as everyone knows, cs had next to no hack prevention.

Edit- The player with all russian chars as his name has a spoof char named Xealus

This game is getting screwed by all those <insert massive swears here> cheaters. This is REALLY pissing me off. I can't start an MP without seeing those <insert massive swears here> CHEATERS!!!!! Get lost of our game servers and let the REAL gamers play!!!! Bah! Bah!! Bah!!

Do you know how easy it is to get a new ID? The same guy can be back with another name on the server in under 5 minutes.

It seems that there is no more honor in gaming. I've very much enjoyed the multi-player of this game. Hackers, try some honor or "na'devvo jIHoque."

I know it's easy to get a new id, but like i said.. account creation on elite is currently diabled so if they were to ban his id right now it would work in getting him off the server. That is until they reactivate account creation. That's why i suggest an ip ban

BTW, I was away for the weekend, but I'm back now and been veddy veddy busy taking care of a few of these idiots that can't read the server news and obey the server rules..

yes there is a problem but elite is not as bad for hacking/modding as some other servers
im normally on elite but went to calgary the other night and i seemed to be the only person un modded
didnt stay long ,duels etc were not much fun (basically you dont know whos got what)
a couple of guys decided to buy starfliers and have an unmodded duel, they took about 5 mins to find weps that they both had UNMODDED ,to have fight with
i left thinking "whats the point"
basically admins doing a lot better than some others are

Yeah, I saw someone killing outside Manhattan...well I use that term loosely as they were cloaked at the time. I just fail to see why someone would like doing that...I mean hasn't it been done to death yet? Anyway, I'm just voicing my hatred for those "players", and I appreciate any attempts you make to reduce this.

Just wandering, how many accounts does the Elite server have right now?

If IP banning doesn't solve the problem (there will always be more and more cheaters), you might want to just LEAVE account creation disabled, to keep all of the potential cheaters out, and if someone wants to make a new character, they will have to email you personally to get an account on elite, and you can use that time to discern whether or not they're worthy enough of elite. Unlike IP banning, it would GUARANTEE zero cheaters, but it would also disallow new people too. You're going to have to pick the lesser of two evils on this one.
