Why not start a new character and just transfer all the weath and weapons over to the new character? You will have to re-buy your ship but that is about it.

Cause then theres the nav map and and all the jump holes, the wrecks and the reputation... It takes a hell of a time to find all that again...

Might be possible now with that character editior but you better speak nicely to your local server admin.
