Why doesn''t anyone talk on line anymore?

Have you noticed lately that you can literally play for hours on elite ( and jolt ) without any on line chat. I sometimes forget that I'm not playing SP. Even if ( and i've tried this a few times ) you say to everyone things like 'hi, doesn't any one talk round here?' 'How are you?', 'where you going, etc?' You just get completely ignored by 33 other players. It's a shame, 'cos I thought we all played on line to participate, not just carry on like we were in SP. The folk on Calgary are real chatty, though sometimes it gets a bit out of order, isn't there a happy medium? I log onto Elite as Dave 3, next time you're passing how about just saying Hi ??

They might be chatting but if your in a different system you dont see it. That or there grouped and in group chat.

Also note most schools on holidays so lots kids playing who don't chat, just dock camp.

It's all a matter of prespective. If I log in, I can't fly a single mission without being engaged in a long, drawn out conversation with someone I've never met before. It's rare I actually get to play the game anymore unless I log on to another MP server beides Elite.

Callsign on Elite = Admin2

(I'm not complaining, it serves as valueable PR)
