Anti-TE? What kind of loser are you!! The TE are "n00b protectors" who have said they aren't getting involved in clan politics. They just make sure new players get a fair start.

And you want to go after them for that?!! If you really want a challenge, why don't you form a clan and fight real warriors on Elite or UK Dedicated server. That's where the real battles are being fought.

Leave the TE alone to help the young players. Fight real warring clans and quit acting like a spoiled child -- or worse, -- acting like a coward. If you want to attack others join NEO or OWL; If you want to fight them, join CAN or some other noble clan. Or even start one that does likewise.

But anti-TE?!!! You've got to be kidding. That's just such a lame idea.

You were Elite? So what you're doing is really a pity-party. You got your feelings hurt or somebody didn't agree with you or did things your way and now its time for revenge. How childish.

No thanks. I'd rather play with a real clan -- not some loser's fantasy. A real clan is about friendship and loyalty -- not throwing temper tantrums.

Sorry if this is a little late but, Magnum Fire i joined your clan because you said you had premission from the Marshall!! Today I got an e-mail from him saying that he did not approve it!!!!!!!!!!! You lied to are going to PK and you quit TE! What's wrong with you?! You'll be worth a gold star soon and i'm gonna get one...

I had a rather funny encounter with TE today...

I was bored, and there was no one worth attacking in Elite, so I went around checking out some popular servers, and ended up on Calgary. Upon joining, I took a mission, and en route to my target, a member of TE attacked me (In New York, while I had a Star Flier ), though I was able to evade his shots, and jump into a tradeland before it got disrupted.

He then started screaming insults at me and my clan, screaming that we were evil and bastardly because we engaged in player vs player combat, talking of how he was going to kill me, and whatnot, and eventually got some guy named THE01 to dockcamp me. I didn't particularly have a problem with this, as it was at least more interesting than doing missions, so I chatted with him a bit, and he eventually gave up on the camping (His excuse for camping me was that he hated player killers and tollers, heh). Because he had been killing me without any visible (or audible) evidence of weapons fire, I scanned his ship (Eagle) to see if he had any modified weapons on it. Turns out he was fully loaded with Justice MK1s, two 'Del Cids, and a few thousand nanobots and shield batteries. Upon discovering this, I voiced my disaproval of his modding, and was told by the rather hot-headed TE that people could mod and cheat all they wanted, it didn't matter to them.

With all the "horrible" things NEO does, our player killing... Our tolling... Our brief camping of individuals who have gone out of their way to get on our nerves... We never allow cheaters to go unpunished. But perhaps I should just shut up, after all - I know nothing of the server, perhaps the administrator condones and supports the use of mods and hacks, but I still want to get this out. NEO members have one order that goes above all others, "Kill cheaters on sight. Gain reasonable evidence of their activities, and present it to the administrators. We are guests on Elite, and we use a great deal of it's player slots. It is our duty to do what we can to prevent the server's stability from being compromised by cheaters". Clans who do nothing to prevent people from raping the servers they play on are just as bad as the cheaters themselves, and for that reason alone I understand and support an anti-TE clan.

Why would you want to base a clan to go agasnt a clan. Thats dumd. What are you going to do, plan on how TE is going to bet you today.

What was the name of this TE? We have strict rules about modding, and have also had problems with impersonators. THE01 is also not involved with us in any way, and has PKed in the past. We try not to engage in clan politics, so a TE killing you just because you had [NEO in your name is also against the rules.

MagnumFire himself is a former TE that wanted to create a modded unit. He actually did create this, before telling anyone that mods were to be involved. He has also said that he is leaving the freelancer world (his computer was taken from him), so I don't think this clan is going anywhere.

An anti-te clan is....not original. sorry prime , your my bud and all, but you dont seem to.....have organization really, you dont just post something saying "ANTI TE CLAN" and expect ****loads to join. Speically when the majority of anti-te dont read the forums. You're welcome in my clan though, we're not anti-te, but i see that the TE don't really do what they claim to do. Te doesnt kill pkers from what i've seen, they sit there, tell them to stop, and forget about it. Then they go and attack someone who insults them or they dont like. For almost no reason. This is on CALGARY. Calgary is one of the worst servers ever with pking. Whats also worse is that people THINK te would do something, so some dont pk. Hell i wanted to have an allience with TE but now im beginning to just keep our relationship as neutral..........at least untill I see improvment.

I feel obliged to throw in my two cents on this topic.

First off, I'm the leader of The Elite, in case someone didn't know.

I want to explain why it is not our policy to destroy MODders/cheaters just for that. Basically, unless they attack someone else, they're only ruining the game for themselves. Am I wrong? If there's a MODder that's not attacking someone else, how does he hurt you? Yes, he can lag the server, however, that is the server admin's responsibility to prevent, as once we destroy him, he will only respawn.

Second, we do what we are supposed to. Yes, I have members that have lost their temper or step out of line. It happens. Are we perfect? Hell no. But give us credit, we try. We do not approve of or support cheating within our own group, and for God's sake, if you see someone, report them! I promise you that action will be taken. At the very least, the incident will be investigated. Have you ever wondered why The Elite is so large? It's because on the over all, we have fun. Most members of The Elite really enjoy their memberships. One enjoyable thing is the military role playing aspect, and there's much more than that to enjoy.

And 666Heretic, the reason I dropped all relations with you is because you broke your end of the bargain to not PK. You thought there were no TE around when you destroyed a freighter, but that freighter happened to be one of my members playing without his tag on. (Oops, busted!)

Now then, if a MODder does begin to PK, we try our best to stop them. Normally there isn't much you can do besides sit there and take a beating. But during that time that we're taking the beating, we're able to help that noob get away clean.

And NEO, you had one encounter with TE? And already you've judged the entire organization? Let me first say that as you describe the situation, my officer was out of line in what he did. Of course, I'm sure his side of the story is different. But if no one ever reports misconduct of my officers to me, what on earth makes you think that I can do something about it? I've tossed people from The Elite before, I've demoted, and ask anyone in The Elite, I will take disciplinary action against those that deserved. I once publicly reprimanded one of my most senior officers because he lost his temper and attacked someone who was just flaming him.

The point of this extraordinarily long post is that I, and the rest of The Elite, do our best to help out the other players in Freelancer. If you don't like what we do or how we do it, it's not like you have to join us. Just ignore us, and go about your business.
