One Possibility:

If you are running ICS in XP and sharing your connection, then you must check off the box titled "Allow Network users to share/control this connection". Alos if you are running a firewall (hardware or software) you must ensure the proper ports are open.

There's actually a lot of these kinds of issues detailed in the readme files within the game folder.

Same thing just happened to me, about the same time as your post. Can't find Global Server. Dunno what happened. It was fine all morning ...

Moby, thanks for the link. I didn't the posting you supplied the URL to but I had tried a search at the time. However, my issue must have been very different, because I didn't do anything to fix it other than browse Lancer's reactor and restart FL a few times. Thanks for posting that link - -it may help someone else if the issue occurs for them. However, I would suggest they simply reboot their machine and wait an hour or so before going as far as formatting their hard drive.
