I have a multiplayer problem

I can get into the multiplayer area and get "connected" however there are never any servers. Is there something wrong with what I'm doing/ am I missing a patch? Or is there just no online players out there?

the only patch im aware of wouldnt make a difference to that
it will however probably screw up your sp gaming
