Proteus - Alpha Centauri 2 - Leaving FL
Posts regarding other games are easily construed as forbidden advertising, so I can only be vague. Suffice it to say that rumors are flying, above and beyond, about a popular producer's MMORPG profits and, as the rumors fly, they're considering pulling out of market somewhat. A title I have missed dearly since its beta test might end up as a casualty.
This in the face of ironically increasing development and content planned for the rest of the year, according to sites like Stratics. Is it a ploy to lure me back? Well, if so, it's worked. I ordered my copy via Amazon tonight and the weekend of the 28th will probably be my last in Sirius (at least *this* Sirius). I have barely begun getting to know one or two of you on Alpha Centauri, and will gladly purchase a 30-day (fully functional) "buddy" pass for you to hang out in the other space for a while if you're interested. Let me know. FL will still be here. (I hope!)
