"Connecting global server" forever msg
After having fun killing "Voices"(in my head too) and get killed by them,
I returned to usual net browsing, html, some apps got installed , etc...
When i had enough of this, I turned on the FL, pressed the internet button and waited to list of servers to appear. After about 30 sec i started to worry, after 1 min I got very nervous, nothing happen.
.
Here is posible solution that worked for me,
Test your firewall to allow FL 1800 - 2400 upd ports.
Open your dxdiag window, (start->run: "dxdiag"
under "network" tab some of my DirectPlay8
got screwed. If this is your case too the solution is simple
reinstall the DirectX. If you cannot reinstall then Update from Microsoft site.
BTW: This is a good time to update DX anyway, DX9.0a is out.
I had figured out what caused my problem, I had installed some free "internet accelaretor" for my ADSL, that **** screwed DP drivers.
.
If above wont help you, then you can try formating your hd
(importent write down your FL id !!!)
