Ok ive looked through files but i found nothing,On a server i seen a guy with Unioners in front of his name instead of "navy" or anything like that does anyone know how too do that...And it wasent part of his name bacause when he typed The "unioner" part didnt show up,is it a mod or a multiplayer File you change please tell me ive been searching for ages :p

If you want to have something else rather then NAVY in front of your nick, you have to become REALLY frinedly with that particular faction. So, if Outcasts are all green in your Rep screen then you appear as "Outcasts-Whatever" to other players.

I don't think it's quite that easy. I've been best buddies with the Corsairs for ever on Elite and to the best of my knowledge I don't get a [corsair thing next to my name. I have seen other people with them though. Someone proposed once that you had to match your rep with every faction to the faction you're trying to join. Don't know if it's true or not. Anyone have more info?

It's pretty much random. Hellmaster was Nomad... yup a nomad. Other people have been too.

i was hangin out in crete, and the brackets went haywire, i was with KAB, he had a universal tag, I think someone had a police, and the rest were corportations... It was wierd.
As for altering it, I think you can alter some .INIs that determine what your starting status with factions are, I dno about the tags.

Which .INIs thought,ive been searching for i found nothing ive created about 50 new characters so i dont think its random cause ive always had NAVY

yeah, that universal shipping tag was just odd- dunno, didnt see wut fang was talking about on my end- saw no police tags or wutever
