u should make sure the server allows mods,most dont and its considered cheating if u mod or hack files,if u do join a server that doesnt allow mods expect someone to scan u and take screenshots to send to the server admin,u will probably then be banned from that server.and if u want to "test" amod create yer own server and do it there as most mods lag and crash the servers and u just ruin the game for honest players.

Thanks for the response. I am running the server on my own PC. I am talking about installing a mod on my own server, so it won't affect anyone else's server.
