Help??? Actually GETTING into a multiplayer game?

Alright, well, here's the deal: I've played Freelancer for a bit now, I've finished the single-player "planned missions" a while ago, and would like to try a multi-player game. Except, whenever I tell it to connect to the global server, it doesn't return any games.

I believe this has something to do with the router; my connection goes through a router. However, FAQ's have told me to open certain ports, which I have done. Nothing. What else can I do?

If anyone knows, or has had a similar problem, please help.

Yes, i had that exact same problem. I never solved it, but some guy. (i forgot your name, sorry!) told me to download this program called the all-seeing eye. So i did, and now i can simply select a server from the list and start the game!

You can search for the all-seeing eye on Yahoo!

Go to Start, Run, and type in dxdiag.

Click on the DirectPlay tab, does it say "No problems found" or is it telling you some registry entries are missing or damaged?

I couldn't find any problems using the dxdiag, gonna try the eye now... We'll see if it works...

Well i am having the same problem. I can see the servers thanks to the eye but still can't see them inside the game(the eye says i have to go in) i am not sure but might it be my choice in broadband(AOL) is any other AOL user having the same prob? If not pls say so to calm down my fears!!!!!!!!!

I have a similiar problem. : I Can´t find anything...
NO Internet servers
NO LAN servers

a friend of mine is running a lan server in our student residence, but i can´t join
i simple can´t find a server, i´ve tried to deactivate the firewall open all ports talked with the Lan admins to open the proxy EVERYTHING.... it still doesn´t work........HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've tried the Eye, and it solved my problems. When I used the eye, suddenly I could see the servers in the game and join them. I recommend you try it.

did u leave the eye open in the background????

I also have a problem trying to get on a multiplayer game but it is different.

When i select aserver tojoin it takes a while then says i have enterd the username password incorrect but i havent even enterd a user name or password how do i do this.

PLZ can someone help
