Wrecks and dying

Okay I a wreck, shot it, got the stuff from it, then died. I respawned, thus losing all cargo grabbed. Now my question is, will that wreck now be empty, or will it have it's items in it?

If you are playing a MP game, the server will have to reboot for the loot to respawn.
At least that´s what I have experienced.
