your mp character is not stored on your hdd, its stored on the server. Each installation of freelancer has a unique identifying number used to tell the server who you are so it pulls your characters up for you. if you want to play your characters on a friends pc you're gonna have to write down that number (theres a link to it in the start menu) then when you install fl on your mate's pc, make sure you put that number in as the multiplayer identifyer-type number.
