Good server with more than 30 people?

I’m looking for a good multiplayer server to play on. I was a little bummed when I found that you get a new ship on every single server… I don’t want to have to rebuild my character over and over and over again… Basically, I want to find a good one and play on it for months and months and months with the same character. I’ve played on elite and while I have no complaints, ~30 people is a little lower than what I was thinking about. I mean, with such a large area to explore you only end up seeing one person every once in a while and that’s usually just a new player at Manhattan or something… basically just like single player.

Now I’ve seen some servers that supposedly can handle up to 128 people. Are any of those servers any good? I’d like a server to have a lot of people, enough headroom to connect even during peak hours, and be up all the time. Does anything like that even exist?

Search by Player Number on the server list. Basically, most of the servers with higher player counts either arent populated or lag like crazy. I have tried a lot of them, but I havent found one that really works.

You might try our new server. With 4 Xeon processors, 4 Gigs of RAM, and hosted in a datacenter, we will be able to have a high player limit, low ping, and stable. Information about the server, rules, notes, and password are under the server fourm.

Or u can try the --Argonus-- Server.. it got a 128 limit, usually only 20 players on.. its no lag!! ()Just PM the AR if u get PK'ed or anything...)

Correction to D3ViL's comment.

I currently have a 40 player limit. (This is subject to change, depending on lag complaints if I get more then 30 in at once.)

The 128 limit is my ISP's upload bandwidth limit...I am trying to find a legal way around that.

I have had up to 29 without complaints of lag.
