Dunce''s Guide to LAN play.

Hi people, I'm a helpless FL player that would love to try multiplayer at home on my LAN, but I can't work out how, if someone would be kind enough to provide me with an idiot's guide to hosting a LAN server in Freelancer, I would be greatful.

Thanx.

The README file located on the CD explains this in easy to understand detail

the readme is useless (in some way), because some of you will still find it unable to join own server after reading those crap. btw, to setup a LAN game and join it on the same com, u NEED an ACITVE LAN. that's my experience. hehe.

Get a LAN with some friends. Activate it.
then u just use the noraml FLServer.exe and sets a server up. When u'r friends log in to the FL, click Multiplayers they should select LAN. This will make only the LAN servers to come up and thus, only ONE !

If u'r computer is connected to a Router and thats to the net, people will be able to see it. Solution:
Either Put a pasword on the server. (AND give it to your friends so they can join)
Or u can just pull the darn cable from the route and problem solved!! (NOt the LAN cable but the Ethernet connection B-))
