Respawn without goods or money!

Hi,
Just started playing the mulitplayer part of the game. Went to do me great trade run that makes big bucks. Was doing well, brought a bigger ship to take even more goods. Brought the goods in a station which took all my money, then was gonna double it when I sold them. However on the way to the place I got killed then when I respawned I was left with none of the goods and all my money gone! Wow was I pissed.

Is this normal?

If your killed you loose all cargo and unmounted weapons. But you shouldn't loose any money unless the server crashed. So did you have cash when you got killed or used it all for your cargo?

used it all up on the darn cargo!

Man even more pissed now. A nice guy came all the way to meet me to help me start again and give me some credit. When he got to me the connection died. I'm on ADSL the server I play on has a good ping but it still seems to have a bad connection.

Might just stick with single player.
