servers from behind a router

Hi, I want to run a server for a couple of friends of mine, but I am behind a router. I have a static ip-adress and my friends can see the server but they can't connect to it. What could be the problem?

Let me know

Ports 4202 to 4300 not being routed to the server is your problem. (although routing just port 4202 to the server should do) NAT seems to work good for the clients, but does not seem to do good for the servers unless you tell the router exactly where to send the packets. Don't know why, but I had the same problem and that fixed it.

This MS KB article explains which ports Freelancer needs for online play.

This article might be useful as well.

How do you make sure that you connect to that port, can you alter it somewhere???

Don't need to, the client will automatically use the open ports to connect to.
