Multiplayer questions

I don't have the game yet and before I get it I had a few questions:

1) What is the bandwidth requirement for hosting on a per player basis. I'm looking specifically for the 8 player requirements in both Upload and Download.

2) How does the "party" system work? If two players are in the same "party" they share quest rewards, right? How close do they have to be to share the reward? Do they share in mining and shipping profits as well. If they split up do they share map and Station information and general neural net stuff? (I'm told they don't share salvage profits). What about reputation? Do they share reputation? If they started out separate and then joined together are their reputations averaged? How do players enter into a "party" and how do they leave?

3) Can characters be moved from one server to another if files are transfered? So if I have a server running and decide I want to format the disk and start over can I either transfer the files to another server and run it there or save somewhere and re-intiate it after I've formated my drive.

4) Do mission difficulties scale up based on the number of players either present or in the game? So for example if a single player mission had 3 boggies would the same encounter in a multiplayer world still have 3 boggies even if 8 characters were there?

Thanks in advance!

1) broadband
2) when ya grouped ya can ether do mission or whatever ya fancy, to get a mission while grouped one of the player in ya group has to select one and then the whole group will recive the mission data
3) i dont THINK so??
4)how hard the mission will be is displayed when your choosing one so having 8 peeps in ya group for a 2000 cred mission is not a good idea

answer to number 3, characters are saved on the server.

when you install the game, you get given a big long ass key code, write it down.

when you log into multiplayer, that key is sent to the global server, who then sends it the different game servers which compare the key and decide which account is yours, then let you access that account.

if you reformat ande reinstall, you lose that key (get a new one) and when you log onto servers, your characters are not there anymore.

you have to edit your registry and manualy replace the new key with your old one in order to access the characters you were playing on the various different servers.

so in theroy, if ya install it, write down the code, and install it again, write down second code, if ya get banned from a specific server with your primary account, ya could edit the registry, reboot, and log back onto the server you were banned from and start a new account, if ya have characters from your primary account that aren't banned on other servers that you still want to play, just edit registry and put back in the first key code, and walla, your characters are back, but now ya banned again on the server you were initially banned on.

it's kinda like logging into the game, but it's done automatically thru the registry, just keep track of what characters are on what servers with which keycodes.
