Graviton Shielding On Servers.

I have recently come across a few players who use level 10 graviton shields which add 10000+ to cap.. Now, I am not sure if this is some form of hack or if its legit, although many people have searched for them and not actually found them. So the question is, Are these shields Legit or are they some form of evil creation of a hackers/modders mind?.

Any information regarding this would truely be helpful. Oh the shield is called Advanced Champion.. If I have posted this in the wrong section please forgive me, as I am not sure if this is a spoiler question or not. IF so please reply with yes or no

The shields are in the regular game. You can actually buy them from the right bases.

You can buy level 9 Graviton shields, the level 10 version is not purchasable anywhere.

The level 10 version is actually in the data, and it would be child's play to restore it, but if you are actually seeing people with a level 10 Graviton shield, they are cheating.

Gravition L9+10 cannot be bought.
Gravition L8 can be bought with some creativity.
Gravition L1-7 can be bought directly.

I saw someone selling them on a server. So I figured I may as well buy one. About 2 days later I was banned. Was this some trick from the server admin or what? I emailed that server admin but didn't get a reply.

Don't buy cheats, you had that ban coming if you accepted "stolen" goods.

I don't know wether this qualifies as cheating or as creative editing, really. L10 molecular and graviton shields were clearly intended to be part of the game at one point, and I don't see anything wrong with making it obtainable (through equipping AI fighters with the lootable non-NPC version, fi.)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with that when you do it in SP mode or run this as a mod on the server you admin.

The moment you make this change as a player on a server that doesn't host this mod you become cheating scum.
