Can anybody help?

I will start by telling you what I am trying to do I want to play the multiyplayer game put from my computer.

I thought it would be simple but I was wrong. I thought that if I start up fl server then went into the game I would be able to join I through lan ( I do have a network card but I do not have another computer connected to it).

That does not work what I have to do is go to the internet and join that way but I do not want to be online while playing and as soon as I disc from the net it stops working :-(

Can somebody tell me how to do what I want? I will be very greatful.

well there is a way to "build" your character on a lan and then tranasfer it to a server. but without a reliable ISP connection not many ppl will play on your server.

if there is a prob with ppl joining it when u do not want them to u just password it.

without more info such as ISP connection type, CPU speed, ram etc, i can;t tell u anymore

The usual method is to start your own server and then just connect to it using "lan" instead of internet in the MP connection screen. The caviat is that you need massive CPU and memory to do that and it is not recommended anyways. I would say that your machine at least qualifies for an attempt.
If it works, have fun.
