why can we buy class 8 LF and FR shields?

Why is there class 8 shields available for a class of ship that can't even equip them, freighters and light fighters specifically.

These high class shields are sold at a bunch of places, crete is one place for example.

Anyone know?

Because the coders behind freelancer are 1. lazy and 2. Don't seem to think that anything has to be realistic or correct.

they have lvl 10 ones too....DA's just making the 1337 h4x0rz happy by putting them into the game
