Responsible Hosting

Situation:
Gamers put in time building a community and goals on a gaming server.
The server suddenly is wiped, and all gamers start over at level 1.
No explanation is given.
No way to contact the server admin.
It's either start over and wait for it to happen again, or move on.

Sound familiar?

Resolution:
Server Admins post an email contact address so they can be contacted.
Server Admins create backups of player files before they wipe.

How can players get this to work?
Only play on servers that give these essential requirements.

Players are the valued commodity.
Without players, an empty server is just a resource drag and useless.

We players need to appreciate the server admins, as they provide a quality place for us to hang. Server admins, need to appreciate we players, as we make the server worth having.

Teamwork gentlemen, is what it's all about.
Help make our servers a worthwhile place to spend time.

INSIST that the server you play on provide contact info, and player file backups.

..or.. learn to like being server wiped just when you get that great ship, or cargo to dock

Any thoughts?

nuff said?
