It is. Sometimes E2 doesn't reach the global server in that case modify your desktop shortcut like this:
" -Sflserver.com:2302 (this is the little add on to instantly connect to E2, you need the space betweenthe " and -
here is what the whole thing should look like:
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -Sflserver.com:2302 (the stuff in quotes will already be there)

Forgive me if I am bothering you, but I changed my desktop shortcut to:
"C:\Arquivos de programas\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE\Freelancer.exe" -Sflserver.com:2302
and when I run this shortcut, it is not instantly connecting to E2.
It starts freelancer normally, and i have to select multiplayer, internet, and a server, and I still can't see the Elite server there.

I need to do something else?

It will no tinstantl connect. I will just be in the list of servers. That is if you have the correct address.. If it's still not showing in the list of servers, it's probably down.

yeah i didn't mean that it would boot you into the server it just makes it always show up in the list if the server is running, if you cant find it sort the list alphabetically by clicking "Name" and scroll down the to the "E"s
