Problems Hosting and connecting to multiplayer! Please help,

When I try to host a multiplayer game, FLServer runs fine, but when I go into freelancer and go to either lan or internet, my server doesn't show up.

When I try to connect to internet servers (which it can see), as soon as I double-click on the server, the game seems to minimise itself. The music keeps running though and I can't click on anything on the screen. From this point I can alt-tab out of the game and interact with the desktop, but if I click anywhere on the start bar it switches back to the semi-game state...

If I hold control, alt and hit delete, the game doesn't show up on the task manager.

After about a minute the game then closes and asks if I want to send microsoft an error report. I'm obviously running Win XP.

My system configuration is currently:

p4 1.6G
256MB RD RAM
2x40GB HDD
GeForce 2 Ti
Onboard sound
Onboard Network
Internal 56k Modem

Any help to either/both of these problems would be greatly appreciated

Are you behind a router/switch? Make sure your firewall's or networksettings allow the Freelancer server to act as server.

Nope... I've managed to get it to see my LAN server, by running "e:\freelancer\exe\freelancer.exe -s127.0.0.1:2302" however the game does not see the server on it's own.

As with internet servers, it crashes immediately upon trying to join
*sighs*

I really wish multiplayer worked
