Whats this crap about not using bots in PC battles??

Here's the situatiion: I was in the middle of a firefight with Brit cops. Some lvl38 PC (who I'll leave nameless), jumped me for no reason. I run, because I am already fighting 10+ oppenents. He follows me, and tries to attack with missiles (which I dodge easily). I used nanobots to repair the damage I sustained from the cops.

I drop out of cruise and turn to face him. I'm in an Eagle, so my turning radius is tighter than his. I am armed with Del Cids and nomad blasters and I kill him in about 4 shots.

He then complains that I used bots?? wtf?? HE jumped ME and he is complaining it's not fair?? So my question is...Is there some kind of unwritten rulebook I'm not aware of? This is my first official PC kill, so maybe there is somthing I'm missing. But this wasnt a duel...he jumped me plain and simple. IMO I am well within my rights to use any means to defend myself that I can.

To his credit at least he tried to take me alone...in every other confrontation I've had with PCs so far, they wont attack unless they have a numerical advantage or vastly superior equipment.

To put it simply, he was a newbie. Nobody plays like that. If he wanted a no-bot duel, he should have asked for it.

Proablly cause he forgot which keys he had assigned to batteries/nanos. Or didnt expect you to actually fight back.

Had that when starting on a new server, some Titan twat in NY against me in my patriot, I lasted a good minute but with a lvl 10 shield you just cant beat with a set of lvl 3 weapons.

noob I guess

no bots / bats is only for duells, to make them different from pk fights, you were definatly in a pk fight, so bats and bots are totaly legit.

just forget about the idiot ... though what I must admit, I am so much used to duells that I simply sometimes forget about using them in a "real" fight °_^

or sometimes I am to proud to use them.

ah btw last time I was after you, I stayed in cruise to give my wingman a chance to shoot it out, so it was kinda the second time

(thought would have tried to shoot you down afterwards or if he ask for assistant)

I will probably start dueling once I get bored of the game, but I'm not at that point yet. So when a PKer tried to nail me, I am usually in the middle of doing somthing, which is why it's annoying. The only reason I even fought that guy was because I knew he wouldnt give up, and I didnt want to have to start over back at my respawn point.

I was actually suprised at just how easy it was to kill him. Those Del Cids are awesome.

jup del cids are an absolute must for pvp ^_^

and btw admit it, having some pks arround on a server makes the game more interesting even when they usally attack at the most annoying moments :p

In any fight I use all my resourses and fully expect the other player to do the same. Especially in a PK situation.

In a duel situation I will even give the opponents shield bats and bots to ensure his numbers are equal to mine before fighting him.

If the guy attacks you without reason, screw him. Then there are no rules.
