This is getting annoying...

I've joined some of the highest played servers, and usually I get a connection drop after 20-30 min. I go back (sort my list by the servers I've joined). And it won't let me connect. I don't think I was banned cause it would tell me if I was. I try to connect again and I get "this operation is talking longer then expected". Then get a disconnection windows saying the server could be down.

I wouldn't be complaining, if this hasn't happened to EVERY SINGLE server i've joined. Anybody have any idea? The server still appears in my list, I can still ping the IP, but it refuses to connect >

I've had the same problem too when logging into various servers that I was on. I figured that it was just that the server had crashed and the server list through the in-game browser just didn't update the status. If it keeps telling you that the server operation is taking too long, either join a different server for a while...or just do something else. Once, I was getting that error message from a particular server (I won't say which one) and it stayed that way over the weekend. Guess what, I actually did some work that weekend because I had the time. Heck, I even cleaned my apartment. The point is, when you get that message it probably just means that the server crashed and you're seeing old information. Cheers.

The fact that he's getting it on every single server sounds like a bug to me. Try downloading and installing DirectX 9.0a here if you haven't already: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en
