MP ****y ships

Hi

I've noticed this on a couple of diffrent servers, some with pings lower then 70ms
(even when connecting to my server via lan) the AI ships have very ****y movments, makes hitting them much harder, but it's also hard on the eyes.

Has anyone seen this befor or been able to solve it?

Using a cable modem with 750kbps, P4-2.4, 9700pro,dx9a
no trouble with single player

I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the darkness at Tan Hauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time like tears in rain. Time to die.

The game is highly lag intolerent: AI ships maneuver fantically, and this, coupled with the fact that ships can change direction extremely quickly, means that at any ping above 70ms, you will not be able to hit a starflier with any reliability. That has been my experience. The net code seems very bad at predicting the most likely path for a ship. It can't cope with a less than stellar ping. Freelancer could really benefit from some improved net code, in regards to AI behaviors, I think.

I've seen this too. Makes hitting small ships like the Starflier, Startracker, and Patriot extremely hard, almost impossible to hit with some weapons with any degree of reliability.
