How To Move Your SP Save To MP.
I keep seeing people ask this question and all I ever see are people saying it can't be done. Well it CAN be done. The only problem with it is that you will be named Trent and I have no idea how to change your name. Also I'd like to point out that this may or may not be covered in the manual but I'm too lazy to check. I'm also too lazy to try the new search function here so I'm sorry if anyone else has already covered this.
*This will only work if you are running your own server, or have a way of sending your savegame to whoever runs the server you play on.
1.My Documents/My Games/Freelancer/Accts/SinglePlayer
From this folder copy your most recent savegame (sort by date)
2.My Documents/My Games/Freelancer/Accts/MultiPlayer
In this folder you need to determine which account is yours. I personally see no way to tell which one is yours as the numbers do not match any part of your MP ID. However in my case I only had 3 accounts on my server so it was somewhat easy to tell since I had 2 characters as opposed to 1 character for the other 2 accounts. Open the folder that you think is yours and Paste your SP savegame there. Filename does not require any changing.
That's all.
If anyone has info on how to change your player name I'd really appreciate any info you could provide. I haven't attempted hex editing the savegame yet to change the player name but chances are it isn't going to be an easy task for a casual editor like myself.
