Can''t play online

when i goto multiplayer in the menu, and chose internet. Then in the upper right corner of the screen, it says "connecting to global server" thats all.. it never changens to anything els.. like timed-out or something.. I don't get the serverlist or anything

my Internet-connection is working fine..
whats wrong?

- reinstall directx 9.0
- reinstall freelancer
- reinstall windows

- your ISP is blocking UDP ports -> nothing u can do

I am having the same problem. I didnt yesterday but today all the sudden poof no connection to the global server.

i wouldnt bother reinstalling stuff, it appears that many people are having that problem. I was playing as of 3am est this morning. And now i cant connect, except to the lan servers that are on my lan... well just have to stick it out...
