Yeah, where is the patch

I ''only'' need those memory leaks solved. Intel P2.4 with 512Mb RDRAM keeps having problems after an hour or two. Even with 1,5GB of memory still the same problems. (Windows 2000 adv. server)

OR: We need a flserver.exe for Linux That would solve all our problems (hehe)

what i would like to see is a way of add-on to the flserver so that alot of things can be done nad mircosoft wouldn't have to update it all the time fo example you can add chat commands like for some that has a password to it and they can add cargo or money or anything

i would also want to see a HUGE inmprovement on the acounnt list were you can sort them filter them ect ect

most of the chrashes are form dropped packets and modders who create things that will chrash the server on perpose

Yup, but look what happened with the first HL patch.... It changed the whole mod management system.
I expect something @ least as good

Note, the post I made previously is not for the Digital Anvil Freelancer Server patch.

It is a beta for an application I wrote to help server operators manager their user accounts.

Just wanted to be sure that was clear.

The patch from DA has not been released quite yet, but I can tell you for certain that it is just around the corner.

Yeah, and the I-war 2 patch- they let ya add so much to the game (think user-created mods like taking over ships to make your own fleet; something never origionally programmed by them devs)

that'd be cool for freelancer- but ya cant dock to other ships (except the non-moving battleships or the <spoiler>osiris at times</spoiler> )

well the odd thing is why they are take so long, if there just finding two errors then it only should take you a couple of days, and here we are week after week they must be very hard to find error.
most of the errors i see before it chrashed on the console (i can't rember off the top of my head)i think there related to corruption during the sending.
i think they should have it drop packets that look corrupted then send another one, yes the game might jump a bit more but it will do alot better on the errors.
i also want the list server list server hold the data of description and server news so that the server won't have to send it every single time some one looks at the server, also compressing packets would be another improvement for server with a limited bandwidth.
with these improvement i bet that they would get rid of alot of errors that might show up later because of corrupted packets but they can't reproduce in there "labs"(don't forget a performance improvement).
to prove that packets don't drop; there was a guy on my server that ask me if there were any mods and i said no and he said that there was a gun that he found that the name "corrupted" and it had the stats of a lava blade but was worth 100,000 i told him to destroy it he did. that tell me that the server just reads the packets as they come in if it was any more corrupted it probably chrash the server.

well it apears ms have done a server patch,.. anyone know how its gunna react with a mod`ed game?.... ie rebalance 1.4, which is awsome btw
