Dummy question: How to connect to MP?

Hi,
This might be a dummy question, but how do you connect to Multiplayer server?
When I choose MP->Internet I've got a blank table with no servers, saying "Connecting to global server". I can't see any servers nor can I enter an IP manually.
How do I start playing MP?

command line: freelancer -s{IPaddress}
does not seem to work for me.
I've tried to connect from the All-Seeing Eye with no luck either.

Do you have DirectX 9.0A downloaded and installed? If not get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta ... laylang=en

So, does that mean that DirectX 8 allows me to play single game, but for multiplayer I need DirectX9??

That is correct. The graphics are all Dx8, but the networking is Dx9, so you wouldn't really see issues till attempting to play multiplayer.

I have tried reinstalling the game and installing DirectX - still no luck - the list of servers is just empty
